Todos Santos Development-- Truth Santos

Nice video on FB regarding the new development that has broken ground here in TS. Truth Santos. Seems broken promises have begun to appear. Imagine that? Can someone post the direct link here for us, please. Your opinions? I have previously stated mine. Tomas

many of you promote leaving nature alone - save the whales etc

how about protecting human settlements
especially the quiet, laid back ones
no need to "save" New York
limit growth to a one digit number
carefully manage the number of foreigners
grow those places like you would prefer your organic produce to be grown

I know, the prospect of getting very rich will not allow this to happen, but I thought, I'll throw the idea out there.

Sure, you may throw the idea, and it will fall on deaf ears.

There are a lot of things about that video that I would disagree with, much of it is hysterical hyperbole. For one, the Punta Lobos fishermen are not getting kicked off "their" beach. The property that Tres Santos is developing was private property that belonged to the Santana family of Todos Santos, it was never the property of the Punta Lobos fishing co-op. It's true that there are lots of residents of Todos Santos who are against the project, but they are mostly the foreign residents, almost all of the local Mexicans I know support the project and look forward to the jobs it will bring. It's kind of ironic that family of one the people in the video speaking against the project, has been shamelessly pimping real estate in Todos Santos for decades. The idea that suddenly thousands of people are going to come to Todos Santos to live because of this project, is absurd, the realtors are lucky to sell 30 houses a year in Todos Santos, and many of those sales are people who are LEAVING the area. I suspect that many of the people protesting this have ulterior motives, like a new group coming in and eating into their real estate commissions. The ever expanding agricultural water use in the area is vastly more unsustainable than the domestic use.

Yep, pretty much.
