Baja dogs: favorite pics

Summer's almost here, and one of the things I enjoy most about being in Baja is taking my dog with me into many places that she is not allowed in the United States.

From watching the World Cup in bars, to playing with a stray at the beach, here are a few of my favorites (including one of Rex at Blanca and Les' place, in La Bocana)

Whether visitors or residents, from large to small:
what's your favorite photos of Baja dogs in action, play or...?

My stateside dog Chester would have loved it down here because there are stray animals everywhere and he was a softy like me.

I've got so many, here's a sample.

Mooney is a Bahia de Los Angeles rescue. She is a different dog when she's "home".

When Mooney sees the boards coming out, she is the first one down to the water...

I can't paddle out fast enough, without Mooney clambering to get on board.

Happy dog. She likes to watch for sting rays on the bottom.

Just TRY to sneak away on the quad...caught her guarding her seat...if we can't find her, all we need to do is fire up the motor and she comes running.

Carter is a Boerboel. He loves to hang with the kids...nothing like a slobbery ear kiss!

Saved the best for last...this is our girl Cora, who's no longer with us. There was nothing better than finding a cow patty to use as a pillow for a siesta. Look at the smile on her face. Pure Baja.

We can't wait to bring our dog Tito to Baja and let him run loose on the beach. Playing with reckless abandon is his favorite activity in the world.

Paco, my navigator, is always ready to go fishing, whether it be in a Northern California lake or the Sea of Cortez. :bounce:

Quite a few talented, nautical Nomad pups.

(Related- I sometimes think my dog is the one on vacation when we are in Baja- I'm just the driver/food delivery service)

thanks- I hope they brought back some good memories of times south.

Yes, he looks like he's at his station, working as security guard. I'm sure he misses you.

Hope you find friendly dogs to pet along the way as you travel!

Bonz loved to ride on the quad. Yesterday, here in Gringolandia, we were both given chit by some officious female because she wasn't wearing a collar and being chained to the ground. I know she'd rather live in Mexico, but at least she isn't starving any more. She's a good pup.
