Strange southbound crossing at San Y yesterday

Headed south yesterday, the first crossing in a long while (just returned from Iceland). The gates at El Chaparral were all up and the "traffic lights" were all out. Everyone just drove straight through, not a single vehicle in the secondary lanes.

Also, shocked at the exchange rate. Drove the fancy new toll road from Playas to San Miguel and paid only $6. Noticed there are a lot of fancy new signs in Valle de Guadalupe, making it much easier to find places.

On the bad side, I left my SENTRI card in my other wallet and had to suffer three hours in the northbound general lanes -- an hour and a half from the last curve where you can see the shiny new glowing blue LED decorations to the booth itself. Came up Paseo de los Héroes and the traffic was all the way back to the scissors glorieta at Independencia.

We went down for the day last Thursday and noticed no lights or gates functioning. We however remembered our Sentri cards. :saint:
