That's nothing like the camper van. They should stop advertising that comparison. And electric? With 400 mi. range? Then what? This is an urban run-around van, not a travel van. And no mention of the interior amenities. I'm disappointed.

I'll go along with Marc...sort-of-looks-like a Minicooper with a longer body.

The article mentioned that there would be four cylinder, turbo versions in both gasoline and diesel engines. That would make for a cute little asphalt camper, but to get my attention there would have to be a 4x4, low range version.

I see the nomad chicken coop elder roosters are criticizing the vw van for not being a sportsmobile or f-250...

And most of you c-ckle doodle doodlers would not travel in a 1973 microbus in your elder years,... You can buy a 1973 in good condition for less than what you spent on your f-250...so why aren't you driving a microbus?

I look forward to a new microbus. Perhaps it will climb a mountain pass in the fast lane, instead of struggling over the pass in the curb lane

It's about time. For several years, the only van they sold was the Routan, which was nothing more than a stripped down Chrysler van. Never understood why VW would contract with Chrysler, instead of building their own product.
