What a difference a day makes....

a couple days ago we had a big swell...about 11-12', some rain, spectacular double rainbows, winds gusting to 30 knots...just a crazy storm. The colours and textures of the elements was awe inspiring.

the entire fleet of pangas was beached high and dry...not many lobsters this week

The only safe place to swim was out here at the blowhole and even it was exhilarating! Waves were smashing over the rocks in front and cascading over them into the blowhole pool.

here are a couple clips of the smashing waves
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhsKo3WiyLo

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOateKIIHlk

and the next day was pretty quiet...blowhole'n it at high tide is a blast.

how do you like me as a brunette?

In other Asuncion news...the Pemex has opened up it's store and it has a great selection of beverages...both types of beer...Pacifico, corona etc, and Tecate...and even has Sol!

Next new kid in town is a propane place...great news!

With all this crappy fishing weather, there is more pithaya picking going on.

Oh oh...Woody & his copilot just pulled into town...hasta luego amigos!

hopefully, the weather cooperates in the morning so we can chase tuna. either way, we brought a marinated tri-tip to BBQ for afterwards at the blowhole.

surfed Pta Loma this morning with head high waves and tropical conditions.

Better put some wire on those tuna feathers, you never know when Mr.Wahoo might show up. Then instead of being Spotfin Woody you could be Wahoo Woody!!! Has a nice ring to it haha!!

Glad you finally made it, Bob & Bia!
You'll probably run into Rossman, our renter one day, or better yet...stop by the house for a couple of beers. Tell him Udo & Jana sent you!
