438 Days Lost at Sea

You never know how it will end up when you go fishing. Link is a short version of the book 438 Days, the account of the fisherman lost off South western Mexico in 2012 who survived.

Story says he dropped him overboard after he died....seems like a waste of available protein to me....

An amazing story. I remember the initial reports, and some skepticism. It appears true to me.

Ya, the name of his boat was the SS Minnow.

Psychologically, one hell of a trip. Don't know if I could do it as well as he did.

I had a link to the story in the UK's Guardian this morning but erased it after posting it elsewhere.

From everything I've read, this is a true story. The individual is loath to do interviews and wants nothing more than to live the life he did before.
