As a former river guide we considered the 'Gang' as the Boatman's Bible. I still have an old dog-eared autographed paperback. Still love the line about George and Bonnie "colliding like freight trains in the night".

If Monkey Wrenching is your thang, may I also suggest a follow-up read: "Glen Canyon" by Steve Hannon. I think Mr. Abbey would be proud. Happy birthday Ed, and RIP.
