Trip photos from the Whitsunday Islands
We did a trip to the Whitsundays last week. They are a chain of 74 islands inside of the great barrier reef. Put our boating skills we learned in
Baja to the test when chartering a power cat for 5-days to island hop. Watched the Aussies load a boat from the beach Baja style.

Very cool....how big of a cat was that? How many miles did you cover?

45 feet. We drove it about 3-4hrs each day. They govern them to about 12knots. Probably only went 100-150 miles or so as all the islands are very
close together.

Did you use Whitsunday Catamarans by chance? I'm interested in doing a trip like this!

I did some Great Barrier Reef scuba diving at Stepping Stones out of the Whitsundays many moons ago. Absolutely awesome. Also drank a lot of Bundy and
coke and enjoyed the cane toad races at a local dive bar.
East coast of Australia is a great place to visit. My 2 buddies and I flew into in Brisbane, rented an RV and took off north. Did some surfing too.
Good memories.

There are like 5 companies renting boats. All very similar. I picked Cumberland because they had the boat I wanted and the name of the lake we went
to a ton when I was a kid was Lake Cumberland in Kentucky/Tennessee.
I paid for a captain to come with us, so I could drink and not sweat it. I can connect you with him. He works across multiple companies. Now is a
good time to do it, 70 cents on the dollar.
