? Jelly fish

Closest I found is a Blue Blubber jelly fish but it doesn't look quite the same.

Great photos thanks. One of the most unusual critters on the planet.

Nice color blue.

Estuary at San Marcos Tierra was loaded with them. Also a lot of finger size schools and some other 12" or so fish I'd guess were corvina. Tossed a lot of lure but no hits. That's 4 trips without bring any fish home now. Saw a net panga leaving the "Flat Rocks" as we headed towards them a little late in the morning. Beautiful day though and a nice ride with some good friends:bounce:

How cool that despite all the environmental doom and gloom we hear, that Nature is still creating new life forms! Viva the Blueberry jellyfish!

Ever tried to eat one?

On one of my trips to S. korea I told my host i was tired of Korean food and wanted something different. So they took me to an authentic Chinese resteraurant and the first thing the served me was a raw jellyfish sprinkled with something that tasted like vinegar and lots of salt. It was a real b**ch to eat with chop sticks.
