LARGE BFT ( 60 - 205 lbs) are pretty much full speed off San Diego in U.S. waters right now - very few people have the gear to get the big fish though.

My buds put 22 of them on the boat Monday....no small feat with 10' jig sticks.

Our passports recently expired as well... Sent in the old ones and renewal forms, and fresh photos + lots of money for new ones and now for the cards, too! They said about 6 weeks, its been one, so far. I guess that means we can use the "Ready Lane"with chip embedded passport or card, yes?

Whoops! Thanks for a reminder, mine expires in about 90 days, it just moved to the top of my to do list!

Ha!

In other news there was at least 3 large bluefin weighed in at Mission Bay today a 190, 204 & a 225....I'm sure
that SD Bay had boats weighing fish also.

I have a perfect 5 lb chunk of BFT top loin for tomorrow's consumption.

I renewed my passport a couple months ago and got the card also. Both came back much faster than I expected. Used the ready lane for the first time last week cuz I was towing a trailer and couldn't use Sentri. I showed up at the ready lane at 4:45 pm on Sunday and crossed the border at 5:15. I was impressed. Wasn't too hard to find either with the directions and pics from DB.

New passports in today's mail! That makes it about 3 weeks (regular delivery service). The books came today, and it says the cards and old passports will come in separate deliveries.
