Hotels in Rosarito Beach are 100% Full
estimated 18,000 visitors for the weekend
http://www.oem.com.mx/elsoldetijuana/notas/n4216216.htm
Heard on the radio a couple of hours ago, KPBS San Diego, that a traffic alert has been issued for southbound traffic at the border. 5 and 805
are/were backed up with Mexico bound traffic.
I wonder how many FMMs will be issued.

Been a long time coming. All that cartel activity really screwed the economy.

Makes want to get sloppy drunk and light off fireworks just thinking about it

Just a few years ago, when the cartel activity was really very high in TJ,
we went into Puerto Nuevo around dinner time on our trip to Ensenada for the night on our way to Cabo. We were the ONLY patrons around 6pm. The town
was deserted. I really hope that this is a harbinger of better times.

The tourist traffic is back as it ever was in it's best days. Tough to find a parking spot, and at Villa Ortega's it is valet parking only and
cars are triple stacked.

Things are jumping in Rosarito Beach. Restaurants packed, the beaches are full of campers, Music festivals at numerous spots, traffic backed up
everywhere, and people with big smiles on their faces. The weather is perfect with morning fog but clearer by afternoon.
