Holy Mosses. It's flood time!
Just got back from San Felipe. Watch your driving on Mex 5 and all of Salton sea/San Dimas areas(ca215). It's really coming down! As of last
Wednesday, gas is avail at Gonzaga Bay. Road there is fine. Bumpy, but fine. Will do a travel log here on our trip.....on Sunday. Oh....we got land
down there now 
By the way....the San Felipe Muni Services had the large....I mean huge....water pumps in the streets (right past Rice and Beans) pumping out the rain
waters! "Got Boat"?

did you go all the way to highway 1 and was the road makeable? we may be comeing back that way in the near future.

That road is makeable. Rough at some points. Advise you have a car that is alittle high off the ground. Do drive slow! I blew a tire from running a
bit too fast, caught me a nice side slicer. Full gas up. if you do break down, theres folks on that road through out the day that be happy to help
out. Do the drive, it's wonderful! Get out of the car and take short walks off the road, to see the wonders!

4baja drives Toyota, so he will have no issues... I was over that road on Jan. 2 and it was just fine (of course, I was in a Toyota as well).
From your photo, looks like the flat happened south of Gonzaga near the boulders (north of Las Arrastras and Coco's). I put a rock through a brand new
tire in the same area a year ago... I was going too fast and the tire was full of air!

JR, unlike you, I cannot afford them... even if I wanted to buy something from a French owned company!
In fact, Amo had brand new BFG All Terrain TAs on his truck when a rock pierced his SIDEWALL... You know the thing they rave about how it has
stronger, 3 ply sidewalls!? We were going slow, on the road to Yubay, it was mostly sand too. Quite the shocker!
I never have had a sidewall puncture on my American (Cooper) made tires that cost almost as little as 1/3 the price! I did go to purchase BFGs but at
$170+ each (16") the same size Coopers at Pep Boys were $65 and that was just too good to pass up.
All Terrains may be the 'best' Baja tire, but they go flat just the same as my Futura Dakotas, maybe more!

Dave; what you have to realize is that cheap recycled jap zero you drive does not weigh anything. Now if you put a REAL truck on top of those coopers
they would pop just just like a zit. Banzaii----- fishin rich

100% of those Jap zero's you mentioned have been manufactured in Fremont CA USA until last month. Then a factory manufacturing them opened in Baja
Calif. Never ever been built in Japan.
