Mulege Amigos...What's New??

Just booked my flight to Loreto and now I'm pumped up for my visit in early April. Would love to hear from those of you who are lucky to be there now!! Pompano, I know that I can always count on you for a great photo and other tidbits from the pueblo. Could you also tell John I will be in town from April 7-17. How's the water temp these days...probably a bit cool now but I'm sure it will be nice and refreshing by April!! Was also wondering if the whales will still be at Laguna San Ignacio in early April?? I remember taking my students from Mulege there in April and was thinking that it could be a great trip for my daughter.

Can't wait for the trip south...my Baja fever is beginning to set in!! :tumble::tumble:

Lindsay...mucho howdies..

I can feel your anticipation from here in Coyote, Lindsay..and I will tell John about your upcoming visit today. Mulege is just fine and dandy as usual...water now in the bay is 70ish in the shallows..but will be very nice by April.

My computer has been 'possessed' the last few days and most all info on it was sent to cyberspace and beyond..I think Neverland....so I am unable to post a Mulege photo at this moment, but that will be rectified in a few hours. (I have the pc manual & instruction book out.)

I doubt there will be many migrating whales left in San Ignacio Lagoon by April..but you might get lucky. I saw some sperms at sea near Pt. Conception last week...beautiful.

If anything earthshattering happens in Mulege, we will let you know. Have fun planning your trip!

I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me.

Gracias Pompano

Hola desde La Jolla,
Thanks for the nice e-mail and I'm glad to hear all is well on your end of the "Californios". Thanks also for passing on my info to John. I spoke with my daughter's Mulege relatives last night and so we're all looking forward to seeing each other. Sara has 14 cousins in Mulege so you can imagine the wild pinata parties that we have!!

So, we're trying to stay afloat here in La Jolla. The rains have really been something. Last night at 1:30 am, I was awaken by pouring rain, thunder, lightening and pounding hail too!! Crazy for these parts but we have the sun out now for the moment...

So, take care and thanks again for the Mulege news!!:bounce::bounce:
