American National Parks

I know this is not Baja but there are so many either in the States or perhaps headed there -written by a friend:

You can get into all U.S. national parks, including the most popular ones, for free on Saturday, April 21, as the National Park Service (NPS) marks the beginning of National Park Week. The NPS has special events planned through Sunday, April 29, including celebrating the 50th anniversary of Earth Day on April 22. But free admission is offered only on the first day at the 118 national parks that charge an entry fee.

If you are a senior citizen you can buy a lifetime pass to all U.S. National Parks. I think I paid $10 for it when I was 65.

You can also get a yearly park pass for 80 dollars.
Hit Carlsbad caverns on the way back from Baja this year. Nothing can prepare you for the scale. Really impressive.

Carlsbad Caverns? Post some pics please!

Too bad it ain't still $10! Even at $80, this is a great deal.

You can get the pass at age 62!!!! It was $10 lifetime until last year, then in August it went to $80 lifetime.

You get free entrance to National Parks, and 1/2 off fees at National Forest Campgrounds. We saved $11 the first night my buddy got his $10 pass!!!! Can't beat it.

And free entrance at national monuments. Half price campgrounds at BLM too - any federal land, unless otherwise posted. Went to a National Forest cave tour - half price. I've saved hundreds of dollars in the past few years.

FYI, my mute stance does not obviate the fact that the rejoinder is obvious to anyone that can read. It's simply that I have given up (sigh) trying to communicate with anyone that supports Trumps bigotry and misogynistic stance. But most of all I reject anyone that supports a person that continually degrades and vilifies Mexico and it's people. I have found most of these people hypocritically living here because they have lamely provided for their retirement and are only here to take advantage of, not enjoy or immerse themselves in Mexico. There are large numbers of them here in La Paz sitting around in their jock straps waiting around for their next welfare (ss) check complaining about the hike in the price of beer. Out!

I grew up a few miles north of you on hwy 49, in Grass Valley, the heart of the Mother Lode!

It is green and beautiful here right now, and an excellent time to tour the Empire Mine. It is a state park, and well worth taking the tour to get a glimpse of California history.

If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!

"Could do better if he tried!" Report card comments from most of my grade school teachers. Sadly, still true!
