Google Street View
I was stumbling around looking at some stuff in Loreto, and found that my truck and my family were captured on google street view on our trip last
summer! We were eating breakfast at Mi Loreto.
Nothing earth shattering, just caught me by surprise! Anyone else been captured by the google?

It was probably ten years ago, but "Street view" caught me welding on a utility trailer I was building in my driveway in Anchorage!
If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!
"Could do better if he tried!" Report card comments from most of my grade school teachers. Sadly, still true!

Before Baja Angel sold her 25+ year old Jeep CJ-5 Renegade, Street View showed it parked in front of my (former) Oceanside home.

My Ranger and my custom built Anti-dog basura can! They must have come by when we were out on a trip in the RV, as its usually parked next the truck

Beyond cool! I am in my 8th decade and marvel at what I see.
Exercise regularly. Eat sensibly. Die anyway.

I was visiting a friend in California and parked my RV next to his house for a one day stay on my way through. Some time later he called to tell me
about a run in he had with the tax assessor who wanted to know why he hadn’t declared the RV for tax purposes. He of course denied ihe even owned
one and was then confronted with the satellite picture. Long story, he finally got it figured out and resolved the problem. Never assume you are not
being watched.

Back in the Day ...................
1980s.
The DMV (in Palm Springs) had a "Rat" line poster with an 800# for turning in your neighbors who had vehicles with otra state registrations.
I turned in a few Boats/Trucks/RVs belonging to (Jerk) co-workers.
As to Google, I was browsing one day and was interested to see that a friend in Hemet had his truck/travel trailer out on the street
when Google ran through. He (being one of the Black Helicopter bunch) was outraged and paranoid thinking it odd that they had
picked the "maybe two hours" that the truck was out there, but when you're a conspiracy guy, everything seems suspicious.

I LOVE when a plan for people to "rat on " other people backfires ! Hilarious !!!!
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio wanted New Yorkers to notify his office when they saw others flouting social distancing measures. What his office
received was many pictures of penises, Hitler, and inappropriate messages.
The mayor's office temporarily shut down the 311 text service on Tuesday, according to the New York Post, due to the onslaught of inappropriate texts.
"This issue has been resolved, but it was not a technical issue on 311's part," mayoral spokeswoman Olivia Lapeyrolerie told the New York Post.
The mayor announced the new text service on April 18, asking people to "snap a photo" of places that didn't enforce social distancing and text it to
the new number.

Google street view is an amazing free service. I've "walked" along streets in big and small cities around the world. Just incredible.

Google has been in our neighborhood three times. Two of those show me walking our dog!
What I'm doing at work is so secret, even I don't know what I'm doing!
One should believe in God, because even Google doesn't know everything.

I thought they had a method to not show people in the views... Maybe that was just for the satellite images?

Registrations in SD or Elsewhere
Aren't most of those SD registrations being done by Baja residents ?
IF you're legally residing (or working) in California and the vehicle is IN California, you're vulnerable. It's best to stay on good
terms with those (like me) around you.

Here's a Google StreetView screenshot of my wife walking our late dog Bonita a block and a half away from our old house in 2008.

When Google earth first came out, I had fun with lots of co-workers. Told them its dynamic in real time.
They always bit when i'd ask whose that parked at your house while you are here working.
