Motorcycle accident 2 20 2021
There was a very bad accident between TJ and Mexicali and they are asking if anyone recognizes this man. He was taken to Mexicali hospital. I saw
this on facebook and am sharing but I do not have any more details.

Looks like the bike was stolen sometime prior to Feb 2018
Woke!

Hmmmm, wonder whose bike it was. I was thinking license plate might help identify the guy.....and then saw plate dates.
As an aside, the first time I met Blanca and Les was at the hotel in Catavina....and they had just come across a MC accident south of there where an
American riding solo died.
They were visibly shaken by the experience..... hopefully, Blanca, this is the last one you experience.

Not so much if you are a skilled rider. Even riding in circles on a beach has its inherent risks.

Not near the same risks. Skill does nothing for you when big metal objects outside your control are buzzing around you. Don't try to fool yourself
otherwise just because you've been lucky so far.
I'd never ride a street bike or ever encourage my kids to do so. Do everything possible to discourage it. Just a really bad idea other than short
trips here and there in light traffic areas.

Street: Over 300,00 miles and 45 years... only injury was one pavement rash on elbow one time.
Dirt: About 40,000 miles in 20 years: One broken fibula, one foot fracture, three serious sternum injuries, two concussions, wrist injuries, torn
elbow ligament, tailbone injury that took 4 years to heal.....all aggravating most joints with arthritis.
Tell me again what is dangerous.
Don't believe everything you think....

Sounds like you suck at riding in the dirt. Got my 1st dirt bike at 11, and the worst is getting the wind knocked out of me. Was too busy having fun
to count the miles.
Stay off the pavement. You don't want your luck to run out.

if you don't get bucked off once in a while, you're not riding hard enough jiz!
55 years on the street...not out of luck yet. even longer dirt riding.
forgive me if if ignore your sage counsel. btw isn't shunning street riding due to perceived danger seems equivalent to basement hiding due to
pandemic fears you often mention.

I'll quit riding when I'm too weak to pick my motorbikes up after a fall.
so many folks just can't wait to be old.

Ya? Well, you suck at spelling and grammar
Have you ever sustained an injury resulting from your phenomenal career in riding? If you ride like you spell and construct a sentence, I don't think
you have much to teach me.

Indeed, it looks like he is Mexican and an engineer. His family is with him.
I sure hope he pulls through!

Riders, we all live in different places, ride different places, and have our own individual experiences. I know Motoged (full disclosure), have
ridden with him, travelled and rode the peninsula with him. His injuries are real and are directly related to the terrain he choses to ride. Some
people just ride roads, which is great but lets try to keep perspective.
The ratio of road miles to off-road miles, relating to injuries, should give an idea of ability...lots of "other stuff" on a roadway. Off road
riding has its own difficulties. I don't know you JZ but all i have seen is gravel road shots and "hey look at what i've got" pics. I am glad you
haven't had any injuries doing this though....
