Bad news. Another long timer gone

Sad news this morning. Glenn, known here as Whistler, has passed on. He was a long time part time resident of Punta Abreojos, and member of this forum.

Indeed very sad... He was active on Facebook after leaving Baja Nomad. Glenn was sporting a new hairstyle just a short time ago... oh man...

Glenn was a really nice guy and he enjoyed coming to my Viva Baja events of 20 years past.

One of his great joys was to build and sponsor an off-road racer named for Punta Abreojos, a Class 7 style Nissan Frontier.

Incredibly sad times...

Thanks for letting us know, Ralph.

Some Viva Baja photos with Glenn...

2000:

Dana Point (DP) Dave and Whistler (Glenn) seated while David K listens in for that secret fishing spot! Paulina is just inside the doorway.

2001:

Daphne and Ron, were guests of 'Whistler' (Glenn) on the right.

I do not think we ever met him. May he rest in eternal peace. Sorry for your loss, Ralph.

I was looking forward to meeting him but he left Abreojos. Hope it wasn't covid that did him in. he seemed too young and in good health.

Sad news. I met Glenn in the early days of this board.
Our love of saltwater fishing led to meeting several times at the Fred Hall fishing show in Long Beach over the years.

Glenn knew everybody in the local sport fishing scene and would help out at one the local landings booths during the show. Several of those landings and boat owners are familiar to the Abreojos community, as was Glenn.

RIP

I am so sorry to read this sad news. We had been friends from way back in the Amigo's days. I was just talking about him tonight, wondering out loud when I would hear from him regarding the NORRA this April. I was hoping he would stay with us after Covid canceled our reunion last year. Damn it.

Via con Dios, Glenn. You will definitely be missed.
