May 13 and 20 Tutor payday

Many of you know that we have been having local citizens Tidiana and Abraham's kids tutored during this crazy pandemic. The kids are thriving!

My mom was here for 10 days and one of her comments was how happy the kids are and how they are always smiling.

Here are last weeks shots of THURSDAY PAYDAY!

Here are the tutors getting paid today. I happened to catch Elizabeth (with Emmanuel) and brother Alberto (with Isaac) in the middle of class!

Here is Danna with her munchkin.

Lastly, Sannia got paid. Her student Jireth had already gone home.

Tidiana visited me today so that I could teach her how to use our washing machine at the hotel. She will continue to clean up when guests leave so as to get some extra cash. Abraham got a job as a bricklayer assistant but she says the $1800 pesos a week is not enough.

Emmanuel was with her and I explained why studying would give him a chance to make lots of money and help his parents out once he graduated. He says he wants to be an architect. I sure wish I could speed life up and see if that is what he ends up majoring in!

Thanks to all who help me with this project!
