Most of California's coronavirus rules governing public gatherings will disappear on Tuesday.

It's official: Most of California's coronavirus rules governing public gatherings will disappear on Tuesday. Governor Gavin Newsom signed an executive order on Friday afternoon that will end the stay-at-home orders and its various amendments. This comes as roughly 70% of adults across the state have received at least one dose of the vaccine. Starting Tuesday there’s no more capacity limits, physical distancing requirements, and people who are fully vaccinated can forget the face mask.

Gee...maybe I can now get a real, face to face appointment with my veterinarian! The last drive by appointment was a joke.

Stay in the car, mask on and turn my dog over to kid that doesn't know what end of the dog to stick the thermometer in? No opportunity to interact with the veterinarian, or observe their treatment and handling of my best friend?

I have been vaccinated, and I am sure they have been too. I will wear a mask if I need to, but they need to get back to full service!

If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!

"Could do better if he tried!" Report card comments from most of my grade school teachers. Sadly, still true!

Our vet offered both, curb drop off or you could go in.

Not sure what they did in the early days, but for sure in the Fall last year you could go inside.

Now taking your kid to the hospital, forget about going beyond the waiting room.

We have a vet appointment soon (Harry or 'Hairy' the cat) and last year the procedure was to park outside the office and call when you arrive. An assistant comes out to collect your animal and then the vet calls you with the diagnosis or q & a. This next appointment (made last week), we asked if we can walk in or ? They said it was still park outside and call... However, maybe that will change after tomorrow. I will let you know how it goes on the 18th.

If most coronavirus rules will disappear, the virus will disappear same Tuesday. It just can't be any other way, right? :)

The rules in California only allow for the vaccinated to go without masks. The unvaccinated must still mask up.

Naturally recuperated have proven immunity while vaccinated are super spreaders of toxic covid spike proteins that cause blood clots, injuries, infertility and death.

Now one is wearing masks anywhere anymore, except to step through a doorway.

Fraud is apparent to everyone, no one is asking for masks, no one wears masks, because it's obvious masks are theatre to promote synthetic mRNA gene modification vaccines which now are shown to have significant adverse events globally, short and long term.

This has been a criminal demonic debacle that will go down as the greatest crime against people of all time.

I think the news is we can go back to doing what we want. Goat can wear a mask in his house, JZ can take the busty hair dresser out in the big boat. I want to go with JZ, I could use a little trim after all this. jaja.

Right now they seem to be distracted in their quest to convince us that all white men are racist and telling us our kids need to be taught Critical Race Theory before the US can have a pure re-boot.

That has to be the dumbest chart ever created.

It's goal is to show increased death rate from Covid of 85 year olds compared to 5-17 year olds. Not even taking vaccines into account.

Ok, now do that for cancer, stroke, heart disease, or even natural causes?

What fear mongering. A useful chart would be the chance of a 85 vaccinated person dying from Covid. Please post that one?

A Local Success Story ?

With all of the talk over waning vaccination rates, these two days of relaxed rules regarding mask usage have shown that our local percentage of fully-vaccinated persons has easily reached the 90-99 percent level.

I'm SURE that the Honor System is working, after all.

Having (typically ?) RARELY met (or known of) a dishonest person.

How about YOU ?

As long as you are vaccinated why do you care what someone else does?

Florida has basically been open for well over a year and has almost identical numbers as CA.

Today, we just returned from breakfast at a full-house restaurant and some shopping at a busy Walmart store (garden supplies). It was so pleasant to see people's faces again and not have that thing over our face, anymore!

Like 80% of our fellow Californians, we got vaccinated, and it was at the first opportunity... So, really, a month after that we should have been ok to breathe unfiltered air, in public. The paranoia is huge and some just feel like that mask alone actually helped them. Obviously, others do not know you got the shot(s), so wearing a mask was just for them to not be scared.

I will say, the past 15 months have been the healthiest in recent memory with not even a cold or sore throat. Obviously, reduced human contact was part of that. Maybe increasing my vitamin D3 intake, too?

Let's hope our amigos in Baja can catch up, and open up without worry!

Untroubled and Laudatory

I'm merely applauding that local near-universal evidence of vaccination.

Cross my heart.

Speaking of masking, I was in the market earlier when a maskless couple walked up to the pharmacy counter and were told by a staffer that they needed to mask up. As they started to argue, they were told that it remained the rule whenever they were in close contact with a service person. They walked off (back to their car for a mask ?) grumbling.

In an earlier encounter elsewhere, I noted another "mask" approach as a staffer said (to me) "thank you for wearing a mask." To which I replied "you're welcome. I'm not one of those who thinks that they're taking a stand against the Liberal Communist conspiracy by going mask-free".

Which generated a couple of COLD (Trumpista ?) looks.

Love to stir that pot.

Why don't they count the people that had covid and are carrying antibodies into the total percentage that are vaccinated?
