update on La Bocana happenings!

Hello to all from Blanca in turkey

Lots going on in La Bocana and I will get some photos to kind David Kier to upload since I have not been able to load any. We go to Germany to see my son who is in the airforce and I presume I will have no more issues.

The kids have been working away and the tutors too! In a week or two their grades should be available and I will post them. They will go on vacation soon but the tutors will be working with them on reading so that they are ahead of the curve. Let us pray that regular classes can resume. I am out of the loop, is Baja getting any better with Covid?

Bertha has been super busy with dogs and cats and cooking away. Last week was the last week for her cooking for Tidiana and her family. This month is another gentleman who collects beer cans to supplement his meager earnings. I believe she told me he is deaf, does not drink, she is excited about donating meals to him.

It was her birthday on the 27th June and I left cash for her and some beautiful knapkin holders for when she opens her little restaurant. She was so happy!

We love Turkey so much that we are looking into getting a place here, my dream is a place right on the Mediterranean beach! We would keep our house in La Bocana but have to sell the hotel since our neighbors, who are watching it now, probably won't be able to do it permanently.

That being said, we are going to look at Portugal as well. I have heard that it is reasonable and that the Algarve is beautiful.

Happy early July 4th. We shall be visiting some springs in an area called PAMUKKALE. One always sees photos of the white with amazing blue water pools - we heard that Cleopatra bathed in those waters!!

It was my birthday June 29th and it was a blast from the first minute to the last. I went to a Turkish Bath. Oh my gosh, how pampered that day.

We went hot air ballooning and it was amazing, amazing, beyond amazing. Too many photos for David LOL so many I will post myself when we get to Germany in 2 weeks.

Stay safe! Stay happy!

These are knapkin holders I bought from Juanchy in La Bocana years ago.
I left them for Bertha's mom to pick up for B's birthday. They will be wonderful for her little restaurant one day!

Here is Bertha with our donation to the animal rescue project!
She is glowing, growing. Thanks everyone!

Here are some photos of the kids studying this past week. photo 1:

We shall keep our home in La Bocana so we will be around for years yet!

We are indeed selling the hotel since our neighbor is not too well these days and this is probably the last time the family can care for our guests while we are traveling.
