Howard visits the Santa Barbara (?) Mission around 1947
David, I beat you to a Mission! I'm guessing Santa Barbara.

If your picture is of the Santa Barbara Mission, It looks like I was at another. I am sure it was close to the Southern California area. Now I am not
sure where we were.

Why do you say that? It looks the same to me unless I'm missing something.

Where are all the arches in the Santa Barbara photo?

I never made it to Baja until 1986, but my parents took our family to many cathedrals and missions on the mainland in 1957, and 1959. I was ten years
old on the first trip, but I still have many memories about those epic, three month road trips!
If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!
"Could do better if he tried!" Report card comments from most of my grade school teachers. Sadly, still true!

I was most focusing on the first pic you posted.
Maybe your other shots are from a different side of the building?

The evidence was overwhelming until I came up with this photo. Steps up to the "arches." No steps in JZ great photo. Are we back to step zero?

Uncle, I give in, Santa Barbara it is! Makes sense as we lived in Los Angeles. That was a big trip back then, 100 miles each way
with no freeways.
You guys should work for Google research as I can't get anything past you!
Anyone else want to see my baby pictures? I think not.

That is awesome. Did you make it to San Carlos / Guaymas?
Where all did you go? Any photos?
