The kids got shoes today!

We took a quick trip to La Paz and I went to walmart and bought sandals, flipflops which the kids had asked for. They have been wearing the sneakers I bought them for school and they are getting ruined.

The shoes and one new backpack for Emmanuel who said his is falling apart.

Jireth Diana - hers barely fit her, I need to up the size next time!

Saul

Isaac

The cute as a button Genesis!

Ismael

Emmanuel

Baby Hasan got 2 pairs of shoes and I tried to make sure they were small enough to fit well since he runs around with no shoes, he doesn't own any. It has been super cold early mornings and late evenings.

Jireth, Ismael and Emmanuel are getting tutored even though it is vacation. I have asked the tutors to get them ahead of the game in class. I also asked each kid to pick the most difficult subject and take that book to class.

It was a happy end to the day, the kids are really happy with their new shoes. They call me Nana Blanca now, which melts my heart!

Next Monday, they are getting internet. I think the kids will benefit from learning games and I think Dad needs to have access to the Elementary School teachers messages. Mom does not know how to read. Mostly, I want to be able to whatsapp with them live from Turkey!
