shoes shoes and studies

We spent one and a half days in San Diego, putting into storage 90% of the personal items we are shipping to Turkey.

In San Felipe on the way up, we ate at Restaurante La Morena, right on the boardwalk, It was the ONLY restaurant that was packed (tables really spaced out and wide open area) and they have parking spaces reserved for their customers.

The mango margarita was delicious but did not pack a punch, so I asked for a stronger version when we stopped by on our way south. Now that was a smart move!

We ran around to many banks, many pharmacies and of course Walmart so I could buy sneakers for Tidiana and Abraham's kids.

I love this part of my life...sharing the fun is so fun.

All the bambinos!

And they love their individual photos...

This kid is so darn cute! Genesis

Jireth Diana today, studying with her tutor Sannia. All the kids studied but I just post this one today.

Emmanuel

Ismael, his were the only shoes I bought at goodwill for $3! They were in excellent shape and should last a long time.

After doing serious damage at Walmart with sneakers for 6, Mom and I went to the dollar store where I buy this wonderful soap that lasts and lasts. There are 3 different scents but this is the only one I really like. I gave Tidiana some soap too.

Lastly. at the dollar store I bought the start of the goodies bag for the December xmas party/meeting which will be held by graduated scholarship student Alondra and her mother Cotty. They already have the notes I prepared from previous years plus the 2022 note which will focus on the graduated students buying a house.

Goody bag so far has his and her deodorants ( we know how badly adolescents stink LOL) and soap for all of them too.

In a most perfect world, one of you will bring down Costco toothpastes for all 25 current and graduated students!!!! As well as makeup for the ladies and anything else you can dream up. Anything can be dropped off at the hotel as long as you let me know the day, so our hotel manager will pick up and store for us. If you are not coming all the way to La Bocana, the owner (Bonnie) of the YURTS at San Ignacio Springs Inn will accept packages. Again, please let me know, so I can have it picked up.

Also, if some of you could visit Turkey, I can send a care package from there with you!

Take care, everyone, and stay healthy.

I love that bird! Peace indeed.

So, to add to the story: at Walmart the sizes never match the kids feet, ergo I decided to draw the top toe and heel of each kid with their name on a sheet....even I had to laugh at myself as I put the sheet in the bottom of the cart and made sure the shoe was slightly bigger. I also identified whether it was a boy or girl so Mom could help me.

It worked!!

Perfect size for each child. Bliss for me.

Here we are at 7 am at the bagel shop for a bagel and coffee! Food for us serious shoppers!

Love you guys, you’re the absolute best!
Btw, Mexican shoe sizes are different from US sizing. At our clinic we use a chart to avoid confusion:
