San Pedro Martin bicycle ride
Just starting to plan my….42nd trip to Baja. First trip was about 1978. Retired and finished my remodel in Humboldt County. Maybe a seven week trip
in Baja.
First stop will be Meling Ranch, with a ride, hopefully to the top. Been riding…forever. Mt and road. Plan on riding my newer Specialized Roubaix
to the top.
Camp at Meling’s for a few days, make the ride, then saunter down to La Ventana with my 18ft StarCraft to camp out, fish, dive, and maybe try
some night riding with my mt bike
Anybody want a piece of this bike ride let me know. Plan on starting my bike ride from either Melings (35 miles?) on Saturday, 5/28…or if I feel
super fit, start from the bottom, junction of Highway 1 and San Telmo turnoff (65 miles?)
Needs to be a self reliant trip, typical Baja camping endeavor. Hope to hear from some hardcore Baja people, Ron

Excellent! We are in Blue Lake. I plan on staying in La Ventana to fish and dive, and bring my board then camp around 9 Palms. Should be down for
about 6 weeks.
Hope there is still camping at 9 Palms…where are you surfing? Keep me posted, Ron

There is for sure still camping at 9 palms, but it's getting pretty crowded on the weekends (we camped there the three weekends before the start of
Easter week). Maybe 30+ rigs and consistently 20-30 people in the lineup in the favored morning and evening hours.
