Feliz Cumpleanos Daveed! I know I butchered that, but you get the idea.

If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!

I crossed the border southbound at Mexicali on my birthday once, and while filling out the FMM the agent thought I screwed up and put the wrong numbers in the date of birth section.

I told him that it was my birthday, he looked at my passport, then reached across and shook my hand!

A well deserved 'Happy Birthday' to one of the largest contributors to the Baja online (and off line) community. Thank you David for all the Baja content you've provided over the years. Enjoy your day. Hopefully you are south of the border enjoying a cold one.

Thanks again to old friends and to new ones! 'Baja Angel' (Elizabeth) and I just enjoyed some time in the pool... not as much fun as floating in the Sea of Cortez, mind you!
Now, off to have some pizza and beer for early dinner.

On this day, in 2016

Ron (Baja Gringo) surprises me with a birthday cake at his San Quintín area project, where we camped.
So very nice of him and my guests of the Baja Extreme 2016 Tour!

Good friends! Hope you're in Baja or soon to travel! Summer soon turns to fall. My favorite season. Weather cools soon. Bahia Concepcion is calling!

Happy Birthday!

In that pre-Google Earth and social media epoch, The Code was adhered to. It was based on a simple verity: if a locale had been transformational for you, and you had put the hard yards in to get there and to learn it, to know it, why in gods name would you broadcast the news, thus ruining the future experience not only for yourself, but for future adventurers?

So much kindness, you all make turning 65 a bit easier, indeed! So hard to imaging I would reach this age and not knowing how many years are left. Getting older was a long, slow road, but now it seems the speed has picked up! Every year now will be a gift.
Thank you, Nomads!

Our family birthday party: Grandkids

We also celebrated Baja Angel's birthday which is 16 days before mine. Attending the party were five of our grandchildren. Four grandsons from Elizabeth's three kids and one granddaughter, (from my daughter) who recently turned 12!

Savannah and Grandpa:

(not shown, our newest (6th) grandchild, Iris, from my son and his wife)
My kids have only made girls (so far) and Elizabeth's have only made boys!
