Schlarship student update!!!

My heart runneth over and I have to share!!! Most of you know that I started a college scholarship project with the students I had in the tiny village of La Bocana, in BCS. These kids came from families who were not able to cover the $30 high school fees and here are some of them, today.

Fernanda, who is in her senior year, just won first place at a competition at her university in La Paz! She is the one on the left, holding the "check". I could not be prouder!

Valeria is happy and working away as a dentist in Guerrero Negro!

Cristina got a job in Ensenada - she just graduated!

Alberto moved to Ensenada to get a job with more professional growth opportunities. He is a production line manager

My ex English language student (not in the project) is studying in Germany for one semester! Here she is in London! I so inspired the students to first visit Mexico (which she has) and then to go see the World! How very wonderful is this? BTW Her major is nanotechnology.

Sarahi studied at Beauty School in Enseanda, returned to La Bocana and opened up her own salon. Two months ago, her Mom passed, they lived together. Sarahi went into a deep depression and I urged her to take a trip....so she finally agreed it was a good idea and has booked her airline ticket to Mexico City and then she will bus it to Veracruz and stay with family for a couple weeks. She is such a sweetheart and I only hope this helps her recover from her huge loss.

There are other students doing great things but I think you have gotten the gist of why I am so happy with these kids.
