Tire inflators
After close to 30 of service my tire inflator has finally died. Which compressor do you guys recommend for offroad usage in Baja? It looks as though
these days they are more portable than my old one. That's a welcome change for sure.

What pressure are you looking to inflate to and what size?
I've been using Superflow compressors for close to 20 years now. They are pretty cheap but built well enough. I run 35" tires on my Super Duty and
pump them up to 55psi with my MV-90 which appears to be out of stock. The MV-50 I used previously for smaller trucks and cars work great. I had one
mounted under my hood for 10 years.
In that pre-Google Earth and social media epoch, The Code was adhered to. It was based on a simple verity: if a locale had been transformational for
you, and you had put the hard yards in to get there and to learn it, to know it, why in god�s name would you broadcast the news, thus ruining the
future experience not only for yourself, but for future adventurers?

After 9 yrs.my smittybilt compressor died and I replaced it with this

I can air up 4 33" tires from 20 psi to 35 psi at one time in under 10 mins. So far so good!

The latest offerings from China like all the other budget compressors include Tozalazz and Morrflate. Both are dual compressors with high CFMs and
cost slightly above $200.
They are very popular with the Jeep crowd and out perform all the traditional favorites like ARB and Viair which are ridiculously priced and still
use china parts.

AllTop double cylinder compressor for under $200
great CFM!
not 100% duty cycle though it needs to rest after 20 minutes
but you should have all 4 tires up to normal pressures in 10 minutes

A cordless lithium battery air compressor is another thing to consider. If you already have other cordless tools of a favorite brand (e.g. Dewalt)
you can buy the "bare tool" air compressor of the same brand and use the batteries you already have.
The only caveat is you have to bring an inverter to charge the lithium batteries off your car battery in case they go dead, but unless you are pumping
up huge monster truck tires should not be an issue.

Thanks for that link I did not find it.
The link list the good high flow ones on the 3rd page.
By the way my Viair 400P has worn out and cannot be repaired. Makes a good reason to spend less. Cannot buy parts and cannot find a repair place.

Thanks guys. I read and reread both threads. The lithium inflator initially sounded attractive but now less so. I like it's portability. If you read
the top 5 or 10 tire inflators online they always seem to be near the top. However, I suspect that's for occasional single tire usage. I usually have
to inflate all 4 tires. My old compressor would get pretty hot. I usually inflate tires to an 'acceptable' level and then drive to a Pemex to finish
the job.
