Monitoring. Be Afraid !

I'm always hearing that we should be more like our European Cousins.

Listening to the news while driving South today, it was mentioned that the average British resident can be captured on CCTV 300 times daily. Every person arrested for ANY incident regardless of disposition is DNA-typed. They now have a DNA database of 3.5 million persons.

Gee, that sounds good to me. And You ?

Thanks so much, David, for providing us the link that Hose A provided in his post .... and your ongoing personal defense.:rolleyes:

Maybe the rain will end soon and you can get outdoors to work again, leave us to decipher the posts by ourselves. I'm pretty sure I can manage.

Nena, on my pc, I can't read what Hose A put up. So that the rest of us poor people with computers that aren't as good as yours can have a look, I provided a link.

Michelle isn't here to defend herself, so as a friend I am...

For the record, I didn't see a link on Hose A's post until after I put it up in mine...

okey doke... it's raining here, too, and I'm feeling like one more round in the mud....

David... do you see a link in the above post?
Hose A's screen shot was a copy of the link he posted.
More time reading for content and less time reacting, please.

And now I'll take my own advice and check out for today.:dudette:

No Nena, I did NOT see the link, so that is why I provided one... as I said in my reply... I will go back and remove the duplicate information, as I don't want to annoy you with needing to see something twice here!;) You can remove your criticism and I will remove my defense.

Thanks Sculpin for your reply, just below this one... Nicely worded, and I apologize for saying your post connected BBBB with the end of Amigos. I thought that's what was implied.. Have a nice day!

OK, so I guess I'm the guy who hasn't "retracted", since I'm the only one who mentioned the BBB'rs. I went back and re-read my post, and I don't see where I made the connection between Amigo's demise and the advent of the BBB'rs. My point was that towards the end there, one of the points of contention was that the BBB'rs were "hijacking" the website from the old time fisherman. Some felt that the site was beginning to have more of a social/travel club flavor than a fisherman flavor. As such, many "oldtimers" were threatening to leave - not much diiferent than today's threat of "oldtimers" leaving. Different circumstances, same threat. Well, despite the Amigos site going down, alot of the oldtimers didn't leave! Imagine that!
Now I admit that I was stirring the pot. DavidK took a ton of heat back then for all sorts of reasons, and I guess he's still sensitive about it today. David, you're just too easy to tease - my bad, but sometimes I just can't help it! I hope you understand it's all in jest - peeing in the campfire, so to speak. Look, to show you how far things have come, Shari would never have been able to do on the Amigos board what she's doing today on this one. She would have taken alot of heat for shameless self promotion - not to mention commercial exploitation of Baja! I guess we've all grown somewhat since the Amigo's days, just as Baja has. I mean, take a look at MrBill's avatar - a puppy!!! We've come a long way!!
Anyways, thanks Earl and Trish for all that you did, and thanks Doug and Hose for all that you're doing.
