Are there places in BCS to get newer 4-strokes serviced? Parts? I have been looking at carbed Yamahas for that reason. The Merc would be a great kicker for my center console. Just worried about service.:?:

I have a 2007 yamaha 2-stroke 25hp on my 15' 6" westcoaster bayrunner, and it trolls just fine...I am not fishing salmon here, I troll between 6-12mph and can get 6 hours on 2 gallons. The mix ratio is 100:1 and I can work on it myself. It is also a lot, lot less bulky than a 25hp 4 stroke...But a 4 stroke is quiter..I'll give you that...plus I'd probably have to hand over my wallet with my arm still attached to buy a 2007 4-stroke 25hp.

I guess it's all relative.............but I will never consider 90+ lbs. "light".

90lbs for a 9.9!!!!! WTF

after a quick search, (I mean quick, first number located), I found that my Yamaha 2-stroke tiller longshaft, manual start is only 104lbs...which seems about right.

so for every pound of engine i roughly get about 2.5hp, to a 4 strokes .99hp!!

man these new 4stroke are light and powerfull...:barf:

However, it looks like a nice clean outboard in great condition and it's already here.
