I think the term, "Raping or Raped," has to be taken in a metaphorical sense rather than literal.
Rape, as in sexual assault, has never been mentioned or implied. I think it's disingenuous to dwell on that term for it's literal interpretation here

Probably true. None the less, the word has more than one meaning. That certainly doesn't diminish it's meaning when used in reference to sexual
assault.
The word, used in proper context, is not ambiguous.
