People, before embracing Seguro Popular so quickly, you should do some research in your area and find out just how good the facilities and the doctors are at the hospitals that will TAKE Seguro Popular.

Hospital care varies much more dramatically down here, than in the States, IME.

Rumor has it..


Some lady that was writing on the PB Bulletin Board, she is currently receiving cancer treatments and can't afford them in the US, but since Bill Collector has been able to recently sign up for the program...it doesn't appear to have kicked in yet, if it indeed wasn't a rumor. None of the doctors I know in Ensenada have heard of it.

It was discussed in Mexican Congress but so far has not gone anywhere.
It was reported on Mexican news.
