My friends are SO impressed that I'm a permanent resident. Seriously, some of us get it because we actually live here full time, and if you live full time in Mexico the proper documentation to have is a RESIDENCIA PERMANENTE.

Ahhh you are immigrado. so sorry I bend to your credibility. so sorry silly chuckie. Oh, you have asked in the past on how to get permanent residence and six months ago in another post you said it was living in Baja 30 years off and on... in an other post you explain your citizenship process entering the US in 1950....That makes you how old?? I don't think I need to take credibility any further.

Back on topic. When I posed this issue to immigration (I realize this is not Fedeal Police) a couple of yeas ago they explained there is nothing against the law in holding dual citizenship or residence. Only restriction I had was to stay in Mexico for five years during the FM-3 process before applying for Immigrado. Once Immigrado there is no longer a restriction. Their suggestion was to show residence in both countries and license in both countries. This worked for us in La Paz when asked for paperwork on our Race quad (which is titled in the US).

don't know if this is correct or not...but it worked for us. I suspect that interpretaions of the law may change based on jurisdiction and time.
