Re: truck break downs - my hubby and I were cracking up, as the roads looked fairly docile - we are jeepers and do the likes of the Rubicon Trail
and the Fordyce. It seemed to us they were just driving too fast for the terrain. Kinda like driving too fast on Hwy 1 between Catavina and the BOLA
exit. You WILL sustain damage if you drive too fast!

If you have a Baja Almanac and a copy of David K's Mission book, either one, the missions they went to are pretty easy to get to. The San Borja
Mission has the worst road especially from the LA Bay Hwy. Not a 4x4 Rd just rough.
The Loreto mission is in town, the Mulege mission is very near town some may say in town and the San Javier mission has a paved road to it.
Oops I forgot the San Ignacio Mission, it's in town too.

It is too bad they didn't go to the Santa Gertrudis Mission instead of Pozo Aleman. It was a show about the trail of missions.

They went to Santa Gertrudis last year. Just mixing it up a little maybe. San Luis Gonzaga is still yet to be featured and it is an original Jesuit
stone mission church. So much Baja, so little time!
