Yes, I remember that trip well! We had a blast! It was fun meeting you guys. Paula had stayed back at SI Springs to finish a screenplay and Gene, Joan
and I drove out to the lagoon to see the big guys. Joan especially loved it.
The first time we saw whales was at Ojo de Liebre. On that trip I filmed our encounter with a video camera. Joan was having the time of her life being
the animal nut that she is. We really didn't notice at the time, but on playback we could hear Joan's continuous commentary which went something like
this:
Oh yah, come on baby. Yes, yes, Oh yay. Now COME ON, YES, OH, OH OH, YAH BABY YAY!!!!!
Someone just hearing the video would have thought an entirely different scene was unfolding. We all got a great laugh out of that, Joan included.
No b-tchin\' in the Baja.
