Nomads,
Some of you already know, this extraordinary photo book of Baja is worth looking for. Phenomenal photography and intelligent information.

Oasis of Stone is well done. Thanks.

Allow me to give you all a heads-up on what I see as a "dont buy."

Baja, Mexico..............Through the eyes of an honest lens

This is a good example of what can be done with a digital camera with lots of memory. Shoot till you get one presentable. It's a book of snapshots throughout Baja with a wide to normal lens. The book itself is good quality, well printed and covered but the content is seriously lacking. To make matters worse, a page in the back is given to realtor advertising. That ruined it for me.

By the way, I can't tell you how far I puked at reading the title, "through the eyes of an honest lens"...........How modest.

Almost a year ago I reviewed Oasis of Stone, here on Nomad... In that thread I posted some photos from the book... look: http://forums.bajanomad.com/viewthread.php?tid=22205#pid2003...

I also have 'Baja, Mexico' the other coffee table photo book. It is not in the same league as Oasis of Stone, but does have all of Baja included (not just Sur) and the list of 'sponsors' for the big book only takes up one page at the very back.
