Nothing but hear-say or have any nomads seen it?

Not only have I 'seen it', but I now own a copy... purchased at Discover Baja Travel Club... also available from Sunbelt Pub.

Nice to see a newspaper story about something 'real'! :light:

Good review, not overhyped.

Here is the link to when the book was first announced on Nomad: http://forums.bajanomad.com/viewthread.php?tid=35662

I show the book from Sunbelt's flyer... It is basically a big, fold out map with approx. ECR location on a satellite map, 6 feet long... and about 6 big pages of text.

I did check the details and found several conflicting errors between the several authors... One of these is about Mision Dolores (del Sur) which has ruins at 2 locations (Apate, near the coast and Chilla/ La Pasion, several miles inland). The newer site is refered to as Dolores del Norte several times (not!)... A mission of Santa Maria Magdalena is mentioned by one author, and that was not a mission... They do use the 1757 Jesuit map for the book cover, and that is nice.

I hate to say anything negative, but facts are facts... or what we know to be facts so far! The book was so new, that Harry Crosby surely didn't have a chance to check it himself first... otherwise, I doubt he would even put his name to it as he is far more fact conscious than I!!!
