Now, just think about the "Punch Bowl" and the 100 proof pure cane that was put into it just to make sure everyone had a hard time keeping their sheets on while drunk and yelling Toga Toga, "Now your right those were parties!!" Later------------------------------- bajafun777

The ink used in tatoos puts toxic heavy metals into the body, especially mercury. Too many tatoos, and when you are older you won't remember why you have them. (Brain fog from heavy metal build-up in the body.)

Okay, so I will likely be roasted for that comment. Oh well.

I find that I can express myself through being an interesting character, and thus have no need to have my already sexy body advertise the fact that I am unique. LOL

Inks USED to contain mercury........along with antivenins, immunizations, large game fish (such as....TUNA), cavity fillings...

I've contacted a source in the business, and will post their reply.

Following GeoRock and other's thoughts about a body not needing additional adornment,

how many of you who have expressed dislike for tattoos and other body adornment wear jewelry? Whether male or female, isn't jewelry a body adornment designed to make the person look better and more desirable?

A wedding ring is maybe the ONE piece of jewelry I would not classify as adornment.

Do you wear a watch? How FANCY is it? Does it have DIAMONDS? Anything other than a Timex for the usual everyday person or an "Ironman/sports watch" for an athletic person (who really can use the stopwatch feature) ...isn't anything else (vanity) jewelry...aka... body adornment?

Still typing with "bunglefingers" and usually erase the best posts!

I also wanted to ask GeoRock if brain fog from heavy metals is any worse than brain fog from agave, potato or grapes, from large game fish, job-site hazards, doctor-administered medications, or from plant-based campfires?

It's all good, Geo...

I believe that is the same type of brain fog, BajaNuts.
Glad to hear the ink no longer contains mercury.

I didn't actually say nor indicate I don't like tatoos or piercings. My comment was only my personal choice concerning them, pertaining only to my own body.

If someone else adorns their body with various items, that is their choice and is certainly nothing new to the world.

------tatoos are weird, and they represent "one strike" (at least) against somebody being hired for a job.

------and no, I wear no jewelry except sometimes a wedding ring. My watch is a $14 Timex. (but I do have a nice ornate silver buckle that I got from my Dad)

I don't even like makeup on my wife, and she wears practically none (she does not need any).

Natural is good. -----but to each his/her own.

me??? lol nooooo...i always smile biiiiig huge smiles in group photos!!!
um...about the poll...i have 3 tattoos now and i love every single on of them, i think it's important to have tat's that mean something to you, not just get them because they look nice because it's something you are going to have for the rest of your life most of the times, i have a sun with a moon in the middle on my shoulder blade, for me it means that usually even though darkness is always present the light is always stronger...i have a small star on my stomach and that is because i think that anyone can reach the stars if they believe and try hard enough and the last one i got looks like a symetrical tattoo but it's not, and it has a heart in the middle, the point of that for me is that even though love looks like it's the same on both sides it almost never is...so thats my tattoo history!!!

Live life as well as you can,
don\'t regret the things that once made you smile,
learn from your mistakes,

Hey Tie-dye...
that's a really cute avatar and a terrific pose. You could be a poster-person for the Nomads!

Now, let's see your tats (no, I did not mispell tats!)

Since I started the poll and thread, I'd like to post another....

I am surprised at the results of the poll. It is showing a majority of Nomads with no tats/mods at all! I was not suspecting that result at all! From the general "anti-establishmentarianism..."(is that even a word?????) attitude, I was expecting a lot more out-there "against-the-authority" attitudes of youth being evident.

VERY INTERESTING...............

thanks for everyone's sharing. This thread may not be dead, may come back with some new fun...or new pics....

Thanks again to everyone who posted or polled.....

Thanks Udo, what a nice thing to say:bounce: Shari took that pic at her house and that's Lucy big dog on my lap. I don't have any tats, just pierced ears, only one hole in each lobe. Now my daughters....tatoo city.

I don't have any piercings, but I have lots of tattoos! I've been making a living as a tattoo artist for the past 15 years. I specialize in game fish. Here are some pics of my work.......

WOW....Those are amazing. If you can do that well on skin, I'd like to see your work on paper. Suitable for framing, I'm sure.
