Fresh herbs** I raise all mine in a little planter. Seeds are readily available at places like Johnny's Seeds.
Stoned wheat thins** here they are called Saladitas and are made by Gamesa. Very tasty and you don't even have to hold out your little pinkie when
you eat them. If you don't know how to get your wheat thins stoned, just ask around, someone will help.
California Chardonay**Mexico makes some award winning wines that come from the guadalupe valley. The locals really like Franzia or Almaden out of the
box. Failing that Ripple has a big following and it is pretty good with 7-up.
Razor thin smoked Salmon**This is yellowtail country and it is actually much better than salmon. If you want it smoked, there are numerous places
around LB that does that and then do not let them overdo it and keep it more on the raw side. Much better than salmon.
Fragrance-Free Toilet Paper**I have never seen fragrance toilet paper in Baja, but most of the places use old magazines and newspapers. Very durable.
Organic Peanut Butter**You can buy lots of peanuts, locally called cacahuates, and put them in the blender with some vegetable oil. Tastes like sh..,
but it is probably organic (or something)
Steel Cut Oatmeal**Now I have heard of some real yuppie things but this one gets me. Why would you want to use steel to cut the top off of a Quaker
Oats Instant Oatmeal package? Be sure to try the strawberry and Maple syrup packages, they are especially cloying.
I think I should get a job with the local chamber of commerce as the new program director for making people feel at home in a foreign country.

I thought Saladitas were soda crackers. In fact I'm eating one now from a large Gamesa box that says, "SALADITAS." Are they called Stoned Wheat

Seriously...What I miss is the less aggressive drivers in the states. I just know how to deal with traffic better up there. Here..it's white
knuckles all the time.

I miss drivers who actually come to a 'stop' at a STOP sign..sigh.

Dennis but your white( white knuckles). in my case will be brown knuckles all the time, and I fell free while driving in mexico.

I doubt(even though I love it) I would miss it for a few years.
When you eat and sell something everyday the "specialness" of it fades.
Still wish trolled Kings were available. I will do some Columbia run Chinook this season but they just aren't the same.

oh man, that is my very favorite store and when i get there permanently, i will come to san diego, JUST FOR TRADER JOES.

The best biscuts and sausage gravy I ever had is a restaurant directly across from the bus station in Ensenada. This place is in front of a motel
(pink in color). Can't remember the name but it is GOOD! Spent a lot of time in the southern states and had their best but you have to try this
place....... Good lokin waitress also Dennis. You should have no problemo

I've only managed to keep my two palms alive. I've murdered everything else. But I have plans for a planter for basil and tomatoes with a auto
irrigation system. I'll try again soon.... mañana

no kidding! i was terrified for many months when first driving here...now just stay on the right and let pull over if anyone needs to pass. i give
in to other cars and want to live. i am so much more confident in the states. however, this and "manana" is all that bother me. I WILL ADJUST...i
think it's worth it...just a trade-off.
