Tripper:
Your last Post show just how "Dumb" you are.
Please go to some of your Past Teachers or maybe the records in Wahington DC or maybe even on Goggle and find out that the Final Treaty with japan was
signed in Oct 1951.

That was uncalled for. Rude and insensitive.
You, Steve, are on my sht-list.
We will have our day.
What an a-hole you are. I'll illustrate that to you.
Perhaps you feel qualified to bring it on.
I do....and I will.

From Wikipedia (real easy to find):
On August 28 (1945), the occupation of Japan by the Supreme Commander of the Allied Powers began. The surrender ceremony was held on September 2
aboard the U.S. battleship Missouri, at which officials from the Japanese government signed the Japanese Instrument of Surrender, officially ending
World War II.
What you are talking about was the Treaty of San Francisco, signed on Sep. 28, 1952. But here, again, is where those pesky facts get in your way. That
treaty, signed by 48 other nations, was signed at the War Memorial Opera House in San Francisco, CA. Hence the name, Skeeterman. No ships in Japan
participated in that particular treaty signing.
But you go on remembering that beautiful night on Yokohama Harbor, listening to I-don't-care-what...that's why it's called a sea story.
And of course I'm a Dummy, Dummy. Otherwise, I'd find some other entertainment besides messing with a senile old fart.
Cheers, Skeeterman

I say you all let me pour you a cold Cadillac, raise your glasses in cheer with me and let's talk about this great weather going on here in the
northern Baja Pacific.
By the way - the fishing was great today!

Let me get this straight, Dennis. You used "rude" AND "insensitive" in one sentence in defending Skeet? My God, man, do you realize how ridiculous you
seem to many about now?
With all of the adjectives that Skeeterman likes to throw around in his attacks of people, I'm surprised by your reaction, Dennis. That line that you
took offense at was nothing more than a dig. I guess I should make use of the little bouncing heads so that comes across better, hu? (as you do).
I don't do "bring it on," my man. I try to stay grounded in the facts and let them speak for themselves. Others will see the truth, or falsehood, of
our words and decide for themselves.
I hear from other sources that once someone makes it onto your s-hit list, there's no getting off. A pity, since you seem like you can be helpful, and
I know that my friends appreciate the hell out of having me as a friend. But if I've "made the grade," so be it. I'll take honor in that.
That probably means that beers are out on my next trip north, hu?
PS: I would have handled this through a U2U, but then, that's just me. I don't accumulate "macho points."
PPS: What was this thread originally about?

No...I don't. I respect to a point of life itself, loyalty.

Bullchiiit. What it was, was your efforts to be in control of a beating on Skeet. He doesn't use adjectives to make points.....just words and
misdirected words. He writes like he thinks. We, who know him appreciate that.
You should as well. Why in hell have you decided to make him your hobby to degrade and insult with your accusations?
Coward?? What the *** is that all about?

Besides, I didn't think Skeet needed anyone to defend him
|
I'm not defending Skeet. I'm defending decency....which you have considered unimportant here.

I do...as you will see in our future discussions. What's left of you here is mine.
You won't last long.

That's right. You brought it on yourself by dissing my buddy, Skeet.
"Coward"???? What the *** is that????

I don't use U2U for anything other than a response. My life on Nomad is for all to see.

It's pretty obvious who's the yellow bellied coward here. Viscous attacks on an 80 year old individual over nothing are lower than whale dung. I'll
put my money on Skeet over the "tripper" in a bar room brawl any day.

I can't wait to find out how you guys are going to tear that apart and get into an argument over this statement!
As BajaGringo says, sit back and enjoy what’s to be enjoyed. Too much crap going on in the world to sweat this sort of stuff.

Seconded. As I mentioned earlier, the Skeeterman is someone who ought to be considered a treasure. You folks want to be bored all the time?

Skeeter Tales
Skeet often reminds me of a Dandy Don Meredith Football aphorism:
"They don't make em like they used to. And they never did".
And, whenever discussion turns to ex-military this / ex-military that, it's worth noting that Timothy McVeigh was a Bronze Star decorated ex-Army Vet.

Well Nomads; To Explain Yokohoma
All U.S Navy Ships around Japan on the signing of the Final Peace Treaty had to move Off Shore with all Personnel aboard.. There was some evidence
that there might be Riots. There were none that I heard about.

Measuring Up ?
Technically speaking, in the "Proud to be Ex-Military" I would exclude Oswald from the "Honors" competition on two counts:
1. He was not involved in any Wartime activities so scores a Zero in the "served my country in battle" category.
2. As a soldier (Marine in his case), he was an HFO even before leaving for Russian studies.
His marksmanship practice did end up placing him in a special category held by only a few others, BUT his target choice does allow for a little leeway
in historical judgment. I have no doubt that there have been other ex-military who had a greater negative impact on Historical events.
We can't include Benedict Arnold, of course, because he was "Current" military. That would also disqualify Hasan.
I suppose you "could" include Robert E. Lee and others along with him who were Ex (U.S.) Military. The judging panel would have to determine
eligibility.
