Mc fez, I believe that place was named the Beachcomber.
I don't know how the Rockidile survives, the Spring
Break US College students have not in the last couple
yrs. had an Spring break Tours to SF, which seemed to
be the Rockidile's main $$$.
I like hangin on the Malecon, on a warm Sat/Sun nite, music blaring,
a few strolling Musicians, a few borrachos.
Read a couple weeks back the Jollyman Bar, out on the
Hwy 7 mi no. of SF is for sale

Jollyman Bar...
The new place? Has the pizza store there too, right?
I like the malecon too....relaxing.
Old people are like the old cars, made of some tough stuff. May show a little rust, but good as gold on the inside.

Yes, The Jolly Mon bar is for sale, but it is a seperate business from the Sand Rail Pizza which as far as I know is still in business (or it was as
of two weeks ago). The Sundance Deli is also under new management and is once again being well stocked.
Whenever I hear that rainy, chill wind blow. I think it may be time to head for Mexico. Tengo que obedecer mi corazon!

Ever ordered a pizza from Sand Rail Pizza? Thy best
Now this guy who owned the Jolly Mon bar...owned the market too? And they move from down the Del Ora (sp) last year?
Been in the bar a few times.....to order up pizza from the Sand Rail.....that place was always sorta dead. It be a great place if it was brought up to
a more "livelier" atmosphere. Maybe a steak house too or something......if the economics were better in Ca and Baja

Yes, I love Sand Rail Pizza...and they actually deliver to my house in El Dorado...it is what we usually do for dinner on our first night in since
we are tired and haven't been into town to shop for groceries.
And John did own both Jolly Mon and Sundance Deli, but things haven't been well with him and business there...so the market in under new management
(with the same great employees) and the bar is for sale. John did have the market at Playa del Oro (and this is just rumor, I don't know for
certain...someone said he is considering going back to that location since Pelicano isn't running that as a second market anymore.). Maybe I'll run
into you at the pizza place someday...be sure to wear the horns so that I recognize you

We'll be at the Campos Ocotillio march 26. WLUK when we are there. We all should do a pizza around the campfire.

Hey McFez, How long will you be staying? We will be there April 2nd. Bringing some friends, too. One of these times we should be able to connect.
