Josh doesn't know how it is parked, only that it is inside at the OFF ROAD MAGAZINE booth... If we ride up with Josh, it will be not as early, since we will need to remain there until 5 pm closing and who knows how much later until anything blocking the truck from leaving is moved.

I don't know if it is the Ford Raptor Luxury Prerunner (as seen on the multi series You Tube videos) or another of their beautiful creations? We will get to ride in it out to the parking lot where it will be loaded on the trailer.

Look for RaceWorks name on other off road racers on display there. Steve Sourapas' Corona Beer Trophy Truck is one of the RaceWorks project trucks, too.

No, you know my political belief is honesty... no BS.

Here is what I read on another forum:

"was anybody else at the 12:00 demo and saw the yellow pro 2 truck catch fire at the end?"

"Yeah we were there. Firefighter guy told us to step back from the front since the fire was so big"

I thought it was a pretty good show. Lots of Jeeps everywhere. Jeeps Jeeps Jeeps. Ken will like it. Very very few Toyota FJs. I talked to Bilstein about the delay in shipping the 5160 shocks and of course he checks and says the ones for my GMC are in stock ready to ship. Didn't hear anything about a car fire. I saw a front bumper with light bar for my 04 Tacoma that I really liked and will call the company next week.

Met John M not at the meeting place but inside one of the buildings and we discussed the Mojave Rd run next weekend.

It's interesting just watching people. With a beer in hand I sat down outside the north end of the big building near where you enter and for a while just watched people. I saw a guy with his right foot in a cast resting his right knee on a reverse type tricycle with the handle bar over the now two front wheels and pushing himself along with his left leg.

Next up a guy and his girlfriend walking along and she was to his left side and biting him behind the arm on his back side. She was holding on with her teeth like for dear life.

Seems like most of the girlfriends and girls not attached with a guy had on tight pants or short shorts. The wives appeared to dress more loose and comfortable.

Lots and lots of baby strollers and lots of young kids with parents. Nothing like family day at an off road event.

I bought tee chits for my granddaughter and wife (they were not there) that said "Girls Get Dirty Too". I called home to get the size first. Also picked up a couple of videos on the Rubicon Trail and Panamint Canyon trails.

Sorry I did not take my camera so no pictures.

They have downsized for the last couple of years. It's in three buildings one large and two about half size. Still a lot of outside setups and race cars and 4x4 trucks etc. I've always went on Sunday before this year and the last two years the crowd was down from previously. Yesterday there seemed to be a larger crowd. But maybe that's because it was Saturday.

TW---------in an above post you mention "Panamint Canyon trail"---------are you referring to Surprise Canyon up to Panamint City??? If so, I thought that it was permanently closed by the Park Service (Death Valley NP) since it washes out from time to time???

We talked to a character in Ballerat last week, and he said it was permanently closed to vehicles!?!?!?!?!?

Surprise Canyon is closed I should have said Trails as it covers several trails in the Panamint range. These are the Rick Russell series. I talked to him about going to Panamint City and in the video he does just that before it was closed. They had to winch up 5 or 6 sloping water falls. Overall a very good video.

Thanks for clearing that up, TW-----appreciate it.

I was lucky enough to drive to Panamint City in a 2-wheel drive Chevy pickup back in 1954 before the "floods" took out the road. It was just very steep back then, but not a real challenge----------spent the day poking around the old city ruins---------very cool place back then, and probably still is. I remember my skinny tires were partially bald and we worried a little about that going over rocks-------but made it with no flats all the way from San Diego, and back.
