I am out
This is not the bajanomads i joined many years ago, its not fun anymore, and i don't need more negativity in my life. I started on the amigos board
back in 98 and then later the nomads board because this was a great way to love baja, to keep in touch with everything baja, to meet good people, to
help friends, to learn, to dream, and its not any of those things aymore.

Having a bad day, Jesse? Don't leave. There's no sense in letting anything here drive you away....besides, it isn't the same without you and your
opinions/facts etc..
By giving up, you're throwing away a good opportunity to polish your arguementation skills, which I thought were getting pretty good.
It's Nomad, Jesse....not church. You know better than most how the game is played here and it makes no sense to me why you would accept defeat and
quit.
But, do what you feel you must, and before you leave, let me remind you it's not the first time and you'll be back....so why bother going through all
this nonsense.

I have the same problem so have just about been able to stay off the Off Topic and have decided not to respond to the 'Bunch of Commie Nuts in TJ".
The Childish BS going on with Somebody is this and has 15 names and hates mexico is beyond belief or answering
You have been a good help and should stay and just answer those Posts that are not produced by the Commie./Socie Nuts and their Childish BS..

I, for one, will miss your posts, Jesse. You are a very valued member of this board and I wish you would just take a deep breath and stay with us.
But I do agree that certain very limited members of this forum have made it unpleasant and difficult----------and I now try my best to just ignor
them, and not "go there".
Of course your decision, but I hope you decide to "stay".

Could be-- there's a certain morbid fascination in watching catfights.
But beyond that, I see it more like being in a c-cktail party. You wander from group to group. Over in that corner a couple of drunks are yelling

OK, FNG here, again, but Jesse, I gotta tell you: BajaNomad is ALL of those things to me. I have, with sick curiosity (like driving through a bad car
wreck), watched the threads turn nasty with pointed jabs and insults and I was having real trouble deciding who really was the Dick, but I just gave
that up. I'm here to glean the information and LOVE for Baja California and, yes, one another, that I see in (almost) all these posts. I forget who
said that "Democracy is messy", but so is a social forum. Intelligent discussion can (often) give way to inane idiocy. To err is human. Yes, there are
trolls who love to hate. I compare this to the Taliban: There really aren't very many of them, but they are REALLY nasty, vocal, and ARMED. That makes
them powerful and dangerous only if no one stands up to them. That takes guts, no doubt. The other 99% of us are good people who care about the place
(Baja California in this instance), the inhabitants, the environment and one another. We're all a little (a lot) beat down by the SH**storm that was
2011. That's understandable. Get the December Issue of Esquire. As an American it will put a little kick back in your step. I'm upbeat about our
upcoming trip. As a result of this website (you guys), we are considering Mulege, La Paz, Bahia Gonzaga, Bahia Los Angeles, etc for our RV camping
trip. Already been to DF, San Felipe, San Pancho, Penasco, Guadalajara, Guaymas, Bahia Kino, Vallarta, etc. etc. Can't WAIT to see Baja California. I
thank all of YOU for that. Well, almost all of you. Not sure why all the animosity exists and don't care. Some slight years ago, whatever. Doesn't
matter. Really. Get over it. Get on with it. I'm somewhat naive maybe, but think back to 9/11 and what was important to you on 9/12. It sure as HELL
wasn't some petty squabble. Don't wait for a life-event like that to wake you up as to what your priorities are.
Internet Anonymity has a way of changing people, and usually not in a good way. Politeness necessary in a face to face discussion goes out the door.
I'm a pretty good judge of character and I can tell that I'm really looking forward to meeting most of you in person. THANK YOU all for the

Baja nomads is presumably the only way for gringos in Baja to communicate with one another.

The quote above describes this web page well. Alcoholics have no perception of how badly they hurt the people around them.
Jesse posted a thread requesting that people stop trashing the baja web page with anti Mexico posts.

This is the train of thought that drives legitimate people away. With no effective leader ship Baja Nomads will continue to collect mentally
challenged people who are no longer allowed to post on other web sites. People with abnormal brain chemistry can not be talked to or reasoned with..

I do agree that sometime the comments are so nasty that one wonders what would ever inspire anyone to waste their time being mean, really mean,
ridiculously calous.
We have met soooooooooo many readers who never post. They just lurk without feeling free to write and be heard without being brutally and viciously
attacked. Which IMHO is very sad.

What kind of friends do you have, anyway? It's probably voyeuristic that you stayed at that party as long as you did to see the metamorphosis unfold.
