I'm in, any day works for me. How many days and how many places are going? There again, it doesn't matter, I'm in, just want to be sure to bring enough of everything.....dt

I'll be in my 04 Tacoma 4x4. I don't need no sticking A-TRAC, I can crash without it just fine.

I will. I think we will let Fernweh lead us out since he has done it before. But getting lost is half the fun.

Maybe, as a "warm-up".......could meet some of the group in Mulege already and take this road as a detour to Loreto/Aqua Verde.

Anybody?

Karl
On your bike?
Having just done this route as a down-grade from the Purisima side in 4wd pickup,
I'd bet the South Switchback is a toughie taken as an up-grade from the Mulege side.
Might be easier on a bike, however.

No, sorry I do not do bikes anymore......

my Adventure Wagen is a capable 4x4. Do you think it is passable climbing up from Mulege?

Thanks for you info.

Karl

Based on our trip through there south to north recently I think that your vehicle would handle going up those grades without problem. Your Adventurewagon is much better than our Explorer and a bit narrower track. See my road log posted separately for directions. Its a lovely drive.

TW,

no problem leading the way out of Aqua Verde......but then we can get lost together trying to find the shortcut to Timbabichi:yes:

KurtG,

thanks for you trip report. I have not explored the mountains west of Mulege/Loreto at all and will definitely drive that road before resting on the beach in AV.

Check your email, and could it be in this thread instead?: http://forums.bajanomad.com/viewthread.php?tid=57503

As a rule, it takes a LOT to get a post removed... Doug (BajaNomad) rarely removes post unless it is severly insulting or contains R or X rated language or photos (see board rules)... He like Baja Nomad to be PG-13 or cleaner!

Are you sure it wasnt in the other Timbabichi post? Or that you accidently deleted it yourself?

Posts deleted by the moderator(s) are VERY rare around here.

Relax Harald,

just sign up for this trip, bring your non-windows laptop and lets meet on out favorite beach in Aqua Verde.

Or if you up to, let's do the steep Mulege mountain together before resting on the AV beach.
