Tequila Tasting at Pyramid Resort

Hey, hey everyone . . . It's time for another round of tequila tasting.

When? April 23, 2005, after the potluck is cleaned up. Roughly 8 p.m.

Where? In the hospitality suite of the Pyramid Resort.

Why? In conjunction with Keri's Baja authors booksigning event. And for the great company and for the opportunity to taste a lot of different tequilas. For fun, also.

How? To participate, just bring a bottle of tequila. Be adventurous and bring a newbie, or bring your favorite.

Cost? There is no cost . . . we just ask that if you are going to participate, please bring a bottle of tequila.

Should you drive afterwards? Hell no. Plan on staying at the resort, the rooms are great.

Do we get blithering drunk? That's up to the individual.

Hope a lot of you make it to the event. See you there!

I like Grand Centarino (sp?) and believe it was the one that won last year. I'll bring a bottle of that unless someone was already planning on bringing one of those. Any Nomad that is planning on bringing GC let me know, and I'll get something else.

Pyramid Resort, Best kept secret in Baja they say.

And I must give credit to David k for these directions. I stole them from the other post. Thanks Dk , :yes:OKAY: For the non-GPSer... Go Hwy. 1-D (Toll Road) between Rosarito and Ensenada (or use free road)... EXIT toll road at ALISTOS/ LA MISION/PLAZA DEL MAR off ramp... one or more of those names will be at the exit. Go NORTH on the free road ONE KILOMETER to Plaza Del Mar entrance (by that pyramid)... near Km. 57. The Pyramid Resort is in there,Turn left as you come in the gate, follow signs that have you wiggle around a bit to the parking. We are just below the Pyramid close to the ocean, k

Here is a recap of last year's event.

"First place won by a large margin: Gran Centenario Anejo Tequila, 100% Agave. It was a winner, hands down."

I brought the #3 winner. It was quite a financial splurge for me!!

I probably won't come since we just got back from Loreto, but if I decide I can't miss it and come on down, I think I will win with that awesome bottle I won at the Tijuana Baja Cactus event last year! I might even give other people a sip too.
