Watching Diver's kid on a surf board, doing his impression of "Walk Like an Egyptian" as he tries to nudge the surf board even faster!, faster!!, faster mom!!!!

Watching happy kids play, run, jump, dig, splash, chase, squeel with delight! Bare feat, dirty faces, tossled hair and big grins!

Waking up in the predawn to to the "boiling sound" of bait fish being chased up against the shore by gamefish at San Lucas Cove, an adredalin rush for all involved. Cafe and frejoles del olla made at some out of the way rancho. The simpatico spanish language, and the old baja welcome of strangers with warmth rather than suspicion."con permiso" "para servierte"
a "sus ordenes" "mi casa es su casa" "no hay por que" "adios amigos"

Watching whales from my backyard in La Mision. Sitting in a kelp bed with a Pacifico in one hand, and a rod and reel in the other. Taqueria Trailero tacos at midnight, after a long night in Ensenada. A Sea of Cortez sunrise in San Bruno, and a Pacific sunset with a Cazadores chaser!!The smell of fish caught that morning on my BBQ. The sound of mi amor humming as she cleans my HUGE mess in the kitchen. Quail on my roof in the morning. Pulling a reverse "mordida" on a TJ cop !!!!!

What is a reverse mordida? Getting a cop to pay you?

Almost. Cop wrote a ticket because one other cop kicked me out of line at the curli-q into line, yellow taped on a Sunday, another wrote the ticket for a unsafe lane change, which his compadre demanded I make. Usual story, $65.oo or follow me to the station. I would have paid either way. I told the cop it was not my first BBQ with TJ police, and I would give him 20.00, but he had to let me in at the yellow tape next to the little soccer arena. He was not very happy, but he let me in at the very best point possible! I chuckled to myself the whole way home !!
