That's a pretty clear-cut vision Cypress - anything in between?

Yea, next thing you know they'll be passing out the cool aid.
| What is this "cool aid" reference? I musta missed some cultural phase in the U.S., because
I've seen it used in various fora and I have not a clue as to what it refers...

I don`t think he will reach his goal. Went from commune hippie, to carpenter, to real estate snaker, to developer. That`s his idea of evolvement? And
now he is at peace with himself because he is regenerating Baja??? Why do I envision a big fat alcoholic hustler, married 7 times, who could talk an
Eskimo into buying a refrigerator??
BUT..................... It`s the people who count. If the people of Loreto want developement, then more power to this guy.

He's a real hippy alright!
I doubt that the "Lund Farmers Coop" is anything to brag about. The only search reference is from their own affiliation.
I'd like to hear from other commune members how well he ruled the roost???
He is an egocentric meglamaniac. He is much like other same minded resort driven developers. Dime a dozen IMHO. Problem is, it's more a game of "I
can out-develop-you" rather" mentality. Big frickin' deal. You have billions so you buy paradise and put up a (sustainable) parking lot. BIG WOOO!
WhoTF is impressed anymore?
I see that that competitive nature of zealous resort developers may determine the fate of prime, easy to develop magnets. In the form of exploiting
pristine estuaries, delicate watersheds and valuable watertables. This will serve to satiate the thirst of several thousand high-heeeled aristocrats
with golf clubs and fat wallets.

Ah gee, and here I thought the kool aid was the electric acid type! OK... busted...old canuck hippie...maybe that's how jimmyjones got his followers
to drink it...trippy man! Oh and I doubt Asuncion will be the next Loreto...not enough coral reefs and not hot enough to have air conditioners.

"but I do find it interesting that their Loreto Bay Foundation brochure contains numerous photographs of marine species which are not found in the Sea
of Cortez (examples: the coral types shown on the cover page, the Imperial Angelfish on page 2, the flame scallop on page 6)."
One of the many examples of the half-truths the LB relies on. From the very beginning, their website had photos of mainland Mexico, and the hotel at
Nopolo to depict the LB property - which they then declare as "authenic." They're selling an illusion, and using irrelevant images to substantiate a
vision that simply isn't there.
Butterfield tries to be whatever he needs to be to peddle his wares. As a Trust for Sustainable Development principal, there's no mention of being a
hippie running a co-op and aspiring to be a carpenter. His persona shifts: "Educated at Harvard University the University of Bordeaux and University
of British Columbia, Mr. Butterfield has been active in real estate since 1971."
Any way you look at it, he speaks with forked tongue.
