I'm taking the 10 year old (aka Bajanuts0.5 :biggrin to the local Saturday
farmer's market for him to sell Lavender Lemonade at $1/cup. He should clear about $130 in 4 hours.
Midway throught the morning, he'll run a couple blocks over to join our small town parade playing violin on a flatbed trailer with the rest of his
classmates. Parade usually lasts about 30 minutes, then it's back to the Farmer's market.
Hopefully in the afternoon we'll be motivated enough to take the Criscraft bowrider out for a toodle on the Columbia River.

Hey hey hey, I'll be in that crowd at Crowley watching the fireworks. Didn't know there's a Nomad in Crowley! I recently met the Slocum's owners;
they have a place in Bahia. And there's a gal named Diana from June Lake who also has a place in Bahia. We ought to have a Nomad get together
sometime!

Got the Carne Asada marinating from yesterday. Got the Tri Tip brined and in Teriyaki marinating since two days ago. Got the mesquite. The pico de
gallo and guac are getting done. Fresh torts. Plenty of limes. The family starts banging the door in 6 hours.

Lock 'em out, Gull. Have it all to yourself. It'll be like your best ever day at the landfill.
Just kiddin', Gull. Haven't taken a shot for a long time and just wanted to see if I've still got it. Wadya think?
Have a nice 4th, Gull.

I'm staying at home in Upland. Going to swim in my pool and relax around the house. I am really enjoying the cooler weather we are having in So. Cal.
this year. Loreto is in the mid to high 90's---but its the humidity that gets me. I had enough of that in Vietnam to last me a lifetime. Hope you
all have a wonderful 4th--and a safe one too. The Shark is chillin'.

Cutting firewood, unloading brush goats, drinking beer, and very thankfull that I was born and raised in the USA. If I was gonna leave the States,
Baja would be my destination.

I put my flag out and packed for the trip to Loreto tomorrow morning. Guess the Dorado bite is wide open,,,,, Guess what? The Pacific ocean has
calmed down enough for people to chase Albacore. They are hammering them out of Half Moon,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, What the heck do I do??? I have
six jars of Albcore left from two years ago.
The US flag: I won that flag 39 years ago while in the straight Boy Scouts. It is faded but does not have any tears. It flies every year.

I took 'Nuts0.5 to the farmers market. We figured he'd sell 130 cups of lavender lemonade. He only sold 125 cups............I think he drank the
other 5 cups! Not bad for a 10 year old, 130bucks on 4 hours, and I worked the booth for the hour he was in the parade! There was a float with
gradeschool kids who play the violin/viola/cello.
Last year, at the parade, the violin float was right in front of the last parade entry.......the FIRE ENGINES! It sounded like a great idea until
they were on the route.
"tah dee, ta dee, ta dee dee dee....HHHHOOOOOONNNNNKKK.....ya tee dah dah dah ......HOOONK HHHOOONNNK!........."
can you say red-faced parade coordinator?!?
I was just laughing all the way to the end of the parade . This year I
was glad to see the kids in the middle of the parade, nowhere near the horns.
All in all, a GREAT time was had by all.
BWD's tomorrow...........(bacon-wrapped dogs)
