Loreto

Pretty good rain here for an hour or so, almost constant thunder, some wind, white caps, blew some dirt and leaves around. Ended 2ish. Maybe enough water to kick the bloom into gear. Bad day for boating.

you are correct! kept me busy yesterday I had a boat at Coronado that I was in contact via VHF and he never saw it coming until I told him about it. that was at about 10am local Loreto time. My other boat was at Pulpito and stayed out on the water. They were close to shore fishing for yellowtail it was a rough three hours back to Loreto. there were a LOT of people caught in that storm yesterday and it being a sunday lots of amateurs with boats that are little used out there.

I do have video of the storm off Loreto and the satellite loops as well that I'm working with. pretty cool stuff.

Ya, that's what Cubascos do! That's why they are so dangerous.
If the pangas had weather radar they could have seen it coming.:?:
But I think the sudden wind is what gets you.

One of eebmike.com most important animations is not working for me this AM. Anyone else?

Raining intermittently over here. Huge dark mass off the coast headed directly here. No lightning yet.

here is my consolidated weather page

http://www.bajabigfish.com/quickweather.html

my eyes have been on this since midnight and again at 0330 we're delaying the departures until about noon or 1300. water smooth but this thing is still forming to the south and the east. very cool light show this morning and did ya catch that red sky in the morning, a real Abundio day from King of the Moon's last scene.

edited my link typo
