Nobody really knows. You'll get a lot of guesses though.
Around ten years ago, I saw Stun Guns for sale in the gift shop at Rodriguez Intl Airport in Tijuana.
A lot of things have changed since then so, who knows?

Wasp spray sounds like a handy weapon. But I am wondering about how it (and a few other suggested weapons) would work in a home-invasion situation.
Say I'm home alone. Intruder breaks in. I spray him with wasp spray (or pepper spray), or I even stun him with a stun gun or baseball bat. THEN
WHAT? If I don't finish him off (which I either could not or would be afraid to do), then there he is, on my living room floor, and there I am. If I
run away from him, he has my house and possessions to himself. If I stick around, he wakes up ... MAD. I guess I could hit him again, but if the
police are not going to come to save me any time soon, what then???

Maybe, by adding a little bit of pressure and messing with the nozzle on one of these, you could have a flame thrower of your own:

The most legal flame thrower I have ever encountered is a can of WD40 and a cigarette
lighter...whhooom!
good for about 10 feet.

Well, OK. But that doesn't do a very good job of 'home protection,' which was in the title of this thread -- -- especially if Mr. Intruder had
friends waiting outside.

On another note: How come this board is saying that I'm posting early in the morning, when it's 6:15 PST?

LOL -- but I have a bad back and am not strong enough to drag a guy out of my house, much less, throw him in a dumpster!
Doesn't Baja have a law analogous to those in the US regarding the right to defend oneself within the walls of one's "castle"?

There is truly no 100% guarantee that someone can't get into your house no matter how fortified you think it is. Just be ready to overcome your
adversary and fast and run out as fast as you can and call police. If someone breaks into your home it's not to ask you to have cookies and milk. They
are there to do you harm. Kill them because you are in fear of losing your life. That is the bottom line. You were afraid they were going to kill you
and you articulate that to the police. Such as he was coming toward me and reaching into his waistband, etc.
David
PS: Never move a body as investigators will know it's a staged crime scene.

David -- maybe you know: Would I not have the right to kill an intruder in my home, simply because he had broken into my home, as I believe would be
the case in CA?

No you have to be in fear of losing your life that is why I say to you to tell police he was coming toward you at a fast pace and reaching into his
waistband. You though he was pulling out a gun or a knife and killed him because you did not want to be killed by the intruder.

as I understand Arizona laws,, if some one comes into your house you can shot them period no questions asked,
if they are in your yard outside you cant not, only if you think they are acting in a threating matter.
I have read this happen here in yuma, some one comes into your house at night,, good bye

Your welcome. Just get in the habit of locking your door every time you come inside from the outside and ensure that all windows and doors are locked,
especially before retiring for the evening. Physically check them to make sure the lock is properly seated in the lock. Also have lights with sensors
on the outside of your house set to go off if someone walks by.

The part about shooting anybody who enters your house, uninvited, IS the law in many states. "A man's home is his castle," is the quote I believe at
least one Court has used in upholding such a law. However, I believe that not all states have this law; I believe some have the same law as Baja
apparently does (per El Investigator).
As for the yard: I believe the law requires you to attempt to withdraw into your house before using a weapon on an intruder, at least in CA.

I personally would not just Willy-Nilly shoot someone because they are in my house. Unless I saw them armed of course. Some times drunks accidentally
come into unlocked houses mistakenly thinking they are in their home. I would not want to shoot that type of person.
