Mike..we saw the sign when coming off the freeway, but as we went into town, we could not see any more..so we ended up in some coffee house..

We liked all the lavender festivities. The motorhome still smells like it.

In keeping with the temperature theme of this thread..Squim, Washington was the start of warm weather and some sun for our entire Pacific Coast trip. Nice temps you guys have! No wonder that stuff grows so well.

I lived on the Kitsap peninsula for 13 years and although Western Washington is beautiful I think I like the sun a lot more at this time in my life!

Must say I hear you on that one Russ..

Have thus far enjoyed the weather to date greatly, but.. the Saddle Back Valley in Orange County has not been all that hot either this year... no above 100º so far and were into the first week in August

But, here south of Rosarito, the weather could not be beat.. that June doom and gloom that most people is my favorite ... sun breaking out by 10-11 with temps in the high 70s with some breeze coming from the west at peak gusts sometime around 12-15 (need to get a Russ meter, that is soooo cool along with bubba too)

Think it's most likely been pretty cool all the way down the Pacific side this year is sounds like... just get a bit warm on the other side of those mountains

Must say though.. having it to your self, the just beatiful water.. and cool fishing ... and looks to be some very interesting water holes... sounds like a pretty good trade off.

Myself, I could not take that heat anymore... nor that wind and 40s-50's .... really a sissy in my old age... things get to cold, the aches on joints and old breaks get bad ... too hot, and I don't cool down like I used to ..... and it sucks the life out of me.. and I just hate staying inside an air conditioned room... I like to smell the ocean, and the smells one get from being outside.. birds, chickens goats.. people taking.. cats and dogs..

Have a bad habit to leaving my door open, have a couple of dogs, but know some to take them out if they want... but, I like the smell of the ocean... and leaving it open creates a draft... which I enjoy also.. wind.. something else you don't get being inside an air conditioned room..

So the northern baja is from a climate standpoint is pretty darn good..

Plus having cliffs isn't to bad for Tusamai's and hurricans ... as I see they have gotten up this far on occasion.. (hurricans)

It's all good.. but will have to keep climate controlled by nature or time my movements correctly for me...

Still want to see that side .... I hope to... :):)
